Create/Update Account Information
I have lost my username and/or password. How can I re-obtain them?

On the login page of i2file.net, use the 'Forgot Password' function to enter in your profile details. Shortly after the details are submitted you will receive an email with your username and the option to reset your password.

How do I update my account information?

To update your account information you will need to login first. Once you are on the homepage, you can choose the function 'Change Profile'. From here you can update all of your information with the exception of your last name. To update last name you must contact the support email at (support@i2file.net.)

There is a new attorney in our firm. Do we need to create a new account or can we just update the information in the account?

I2file does not keep firm registrations. Each attorney is linked to their own separate ARDC#. Therefore, you must create a new account for that separate attorney.

How do I add a jurisdiction to my profile?

On your homepage, you can select the function 'Subscribe to Additional Jurisdiction' and you will then fill out the necessary information to subscribe depending on your role (ie. Attorney and Foreign Attorney)

How do I change my e-filing jurisdiction?

If you are already subscribed to the jurisdiction that you want to e-file in, you can use the function on your homepage named 'Change Filing County' to switch to the desired jurisdiction. If you are not already subscribed to this jurisdiction, you must first subscribe to the jurisdiction by using the function 'Subscribe to Additional Jurisdiction'. Once you have done that, follow the procedures to subscribe and go back to the homepage and select the 'Change Filing County' function to change the jurisdiction to the one you need.

I am trying to register but it says my number is already in use but I did not register for I2File. How do I fix this?

You were probably registered by someone in your current or previous Firm. Your paralegal there or possibly one of your partners registered using your ARDC number. To resolve the issue, send an email to (Support@i2file.net). Include your ARDC number in the email. Please use the email address that you use when receiving notifications of filings and documents from I2File. I2File will investigate the issue and send you an email with the resolution.

Payment
I paid a fee, received a transaction code, and authorization code on case no. "**********". How do I view and print the document I requested?

Once you are logged into your account use the link 'Click Here to Review Status of your Document Filings and Copy Requests'. In this link you will find the transaction. Click on the case # and proceed with the download.

I have requested a document from a certain case #. Is it free to request documents? If it is not free can I cancel my request?

Once this request is submitted we cannot reject it on i2file. Jurisdiction can accept or reject the request. However, depending on your jurisdiction, you may be able to get these documents free of charge directly from the specific court.

Does i2file charge any fees for e-filing?

I2File does not charge any fees. You still have to pay statutory fees charged by jurisdiction. The fees are covered by the jurisdiction subscription fees. If the jurisdiction allows, i2file can take the payment of the statutory fees and will charge a convenience fee which is determined by the payment gateway. Another option is to contact your jurisdiction directly about payment.

Does i2file store credit card information?

I2file does not store credit card information. In order to pay a transaction you must enter the credit card information each time. We only use the credit card information for that transaction and that transaction only.

New Case/Document Filing/Request Document Copy
